Nestled in the market town of Athboy, constructed over the remains of an ancient road upon which Queen Maeve marched her army and the rains of a Norman castle, The Lawrence is the perfect venue for small intimate weddings, whilst also offering the ability to house a marquee wedding for up to 150 guests.

Its real charm lies in its old frontage from 1870 which houses a beautifully restored bar blended with a fine dining room/function room which oozes with 1920’s Art Deco glamour. Every detail of your event can be customised to your needs.

This venue offers a wedding planning exploration weekend, which includes a stay at the wonderful 11 bedroom boutique hotel for one night, evening meal, planned meeting with the onsite wedding planner and breakfast the next morning. Alternative Accommodation

We offer 11 bedrooms for your wedding party here at the Lawrence Hotel. If you require extra accommodation or alternative accommodation before your wedding day then we recommend the lodgings at Killua Castle.
Situated only ten minutes from us here at the Lawrence Hotel accommodation includes Clonmellon Lodge and the Gardeners Cottage.
