Visit the Hill of Ward/ Tlachtga
The birthplace of Halloween. It is here that Samhain began. Samhain was said to mark the harvest and a time of transition, with feasting and celebration as the long winter nights approached. Have a picnic in the Fairgreen

Only a 10 minute drive from the hotel, Killua Castle opens its grounds to the public every Saturday morning at 10am. You can walk around the grounds of this famous building and learn all about the connection with Lawrence of Arabia.
